Happy Biner – Terms & Conditions of Boulder Pad Hire

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made for the hire of bouldering crash pads (“boulder pads”) from Happy Biner (ABN 86825831014). By booking a rental through our website, you agree to the following conditions:

1. Rental Equipment

  • Available Pads:

    • Snap Hop Bouldering Pad (RRP $329.95)

    • Snap Rebound Bouldering Pad (RRP $529.95)

  • All pads are subject to availability at the time of booking.

2. Rental Period & Fees

  • Rental periods are available from 1 to 15 days.

  • Hire fee is $16.99 per day.

  • Bookings of 5 days or more receive a 5% discount.

3. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is required:

    • $300 for the Snap Hop Pad

    • $500 for the Snap Rebound Pad

  • Deposits will be refunded once the pad is returned on time, clean, and undamaged.

4. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be made online via our website using SHOPIFY.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards.

5. Cancellations

  • Bookings can be cancelled up to 1 day prior to the rental start date for a full refund.

  • Cancellations on the rental start date or later are non-refundable.

6. Collection & Return

  • Pads are to be collected and returned at:
    Happy Biner Store, 76 Russell Street, Toowoomba.

  • Customers may be required to show valid photo ID at collection.

  • Pads must be returned by the agreed date and time.

  • Late returns will incur a $30 fee per day.

7. Care & Condition of Pads

  • Pads must be returned in a reasonably clean condition. Mud and dirt should be wiped off with a damp cloth.

  • Normal wear and tear (minor scuffs/scratches) is acceptable.

  • Customers are responsible for:

    • Tears, ripped stitching, missing components (including the foot cleaner pad supplied with the pad).

    • Returning the pad in good working condition.

8. Damage, Loss & Replacement

  • Customers are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear and tear.

  • In the event of loss, theft, or irreparable damage, the customer must pay the full replacement cost of the pad (as listed above).

  • Security deposits may be used toward these costs.

9. Safety & Use

  • Customers are solely responsible for their own safety and the safety of others while using the hired pads.

  • Happy Biner does not accept liability for injuries, accidents, or misuse of equipment.

  • Pads should not be altered or modified in any way.

10. Liability Disclaimer

  • By hiring a pad, the customer acknowledges that climbing and bouldering carry inherent risks.

  • Happy Biner is not liable for any injury, accident, or damage resulting from use of the hired pad.

  • Use of the pad is entirely at the customer’s own risk.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Happy Biner acknowledges the Giabal and Jarowair people as the Traditional Custodians of Toowoomba, the lands on where we meet, work and climb.
