About the brand

QLD Bouldering was shaped on the granite and sandstone of Queensland, but its spirit has been carved through years of travel — from the high wild alpine boulders and walls of the Bow Valley, Canada to the slippery granite blocs of Squamish, BC to the high valleys of the Himalaya’s. Those journeys taught us that climbing is a universal language: the search for untouched lines, the joy of movement, and the humility of standing beneath stone that has been here long before us.

Our style has always been about first ascents. The rawness of brushing lichen off a hold, of trusting and unlocking an unclimbed sequence, of being fully present in that moment where no chalk marks the way. It’s in these experiences that we feel closest to country and ourselves — as though the rock itself is offering us a challenge and a story to carry forward.

The guidebook is our way of honouring the spark! Keeping the curiosity fire burning and preserving those stories, history, and sharing knowledge, that may inspire others to seek out their own adventure. For us, climbing isn’t always about the difficulty or grade; it’s about a positive, inspiring connection — to Country, to friends, and to the deeper spirit of adventure that binds climbers across the world.

Profits from our guidebook go straight back into establishing more climbs for all of us.
